The Condor Commodore Clipper has been named the World’s Sexiest Boat for 2025.
“The Clipper”, as she is affectionately known, was shortlisted earlier this year alongside a tug boat in Portsmouth and a half-sunk catamaran in Australia.
Despite fierce competition, and significant support for the other contenders, judges deemed the essential, life-line link to the Channel Islands as the sexiest on show.
“It was a tough choice. The entries this year were of top, top quality” one of the judges told The Daily Crapaud.
“But, we felt ‘The Clipper’ was the standout on show. Well deserved” he said, correcting his oil-tanker themed tie.
We spoke to a number of fans who had been watching proceedings with a keen interest.
“She’s a beauty” said one admirer. “Sturdy, but she holds a poised, delicate posture. The way she trundles into harbour: determined; elegant; essential. Just a marvel to behold”.
“Sure, she’s not the fastest” said another. “But what other boat can deliver three tonnes of sweet chilli hummus in a Force 7 gale and look that good doing it?” she exhaled, blushing slightly.
The Clipper is often seen looming on the horizon as she makes her way to the harbour in St. Helier, disappearing behind Elizabeth Castle before re-appearing, effortlessly.
