“I’m just a bit of a tw*t” says man leaving rubbish on the beach

Shrugging Man

A local man who left a pile of rubbish on the beach after a BBQ this weekend has described himself as “a bit of a tw*t.”

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, spoke to The Daily Crapaud following a glorious bank holiday weekend.

“Yeah I guess you could say I’m a bit of a tw*t” he began.

“I’m aware there are bins at every beach on the Island. But it means picking the rubbish up, walking to the bin, opening it, putting the rubbish in, then closing it. And I don’t think I am a capable or responsible enough adult human being to do that.”

The St. Helier resident’s confession comes on the back of a public announcement for Islanders to respect their local beaches, as an increasing amount of rubbish has been found at popular spots around the Island’s coast.

“I don’t see what all the fuss is about” the man continued.

“Why can’t everyone be as disrespectful and lazy as me?”
